Medea is an adaptation of the ancient Greek tragedy Medea by Euripides. First performed in 431 BCE it tells the story of Medea a princess of Colchis who enacts violent revenge on her husband, Jason who has cast her aside to marry a princess of Corinth.

The work is informed by analysis of the Euripides play and the surrounding mythology of Medea and by a range of intersectional feminist theoretical frameworks – to create an adaptation of Euripides’ Medea using multi-percussion and backing track.
